The Walt Disney Company is recruiting for a year-long graduate-level legal internship programme. Participants will work alongside experienced in-house legal professionals in a globally recognised organisation, building foundational competencies for a legal career.
Available Positions
Multiple internship roles are available across five business divisions, each based in London (working four days per week on-site, with one day remote):
- Disney+ (Hammersmith): Support the legal and technology team managing product matters, regulatory compliance, consumer law, AI/tech issues, and content licensing across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Ideal for those interested in legal systems and information management.
- Searchlight Pictures Studio Production (Covent Garden): Provide legal assistance throughout the film production lifecycle—from initial development through post-release promotion. Suited for those passionate about entertainment and media law with comfort working across time zones with international teams.
- Disney Consumer Products (Hammersmith): Assist the legal function supporting brand activation through retail, licensing, and publishing. Help with commercial agreements, intellectual property protection, and brand safeguarding. Suits those interested in commercial and IP law.
- Studio and Direct-to-Consumer (Hammersmith): Support the end-to-end legal aspects of theatrical film distribution and streaming platforms. Ideal for those interested in media and entertainment law.
- Disney Destinations (Hammersmith Grove): Advise on the legal and commercial aspects of theme parks, cruise lines, and expeditions across the EMEA region. Suited to those interested in commercial, consumer, competition, and travel law.
Responsibilities & Learning
Interns will develop core competencies including document drafting and review, legal research, regulatory compliance support, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration with business teams.
Eligibility Requirements
- Law degree or completed Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
- Right to work in the UK for the full internship duration
- Available to commence August or September 2026
- Genuine commitment to a legal career; this role suits recent graduates preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE)
