📌 About the Role

Meesho — India’s fastest-growing internet commerce platform, enabling over 2.6 million resellers and millions of small businesses to sell online — is hiring a Manager – Legal to join its Legal & Secretarial team in Bangalore.

This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of law, business, and strategy. You’ll shape key transactions, drive compliance excellence, and act as both legal advisor and business enabler to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders — while working alongside a team that supports the company through corporate governance, IPO readiness, and M&A.

🎯 What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end contracting lifecycle — drafting agreements from scratch, reviewing/redlining counterparty templates, leading negotiations, and driving timely closure.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements: vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
• Provide proactive legal advisory on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects — identifying and mitigating legal/regulatory risk before go-live.
• Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Support corporate transactions — M&A, joint ventures, investments, and corporate restructurings.
• Partner with the People (HR) team on employment matters — drafting/reviewing employment agreements and developing internal employment policies.
• Engage and manage external counsel for specialized matters, including due diligence and complex advisory.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy and process enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement in contract lifecycle management and risk management frameworks.

✅ What You’ll Need

• Qualified LLB with 5–7 years PQE.
• Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in-house role, with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
• Experience handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.
