CLAT 2026 is scheduled for May 2026. If you have 90 days left, here is the subject-wise strategy to maximise your score.
English (22-26 questions): Focus on reading comprehension from quality newspapers. Practice one passage daily. Vocabulary from context is more important than memorising word lists.
Current Affairs & GK (28-32 questions): Read The Hindu or Indian Express daily. Focus on constitutional amendments, Supreme Court judgments, international treaties, and major government schemes. CLAT tests application of current affairs, not just recall.
Legal Reasoning (28-32 questions): This is the most important section. Practice principle-fact sets daily. Understand the structure: Principle applies to Fact, Conclusion follows. Do not apply outside knowledge.
Logical Reasoning (22-26 questions): Focus on critical reasoning, assumption-conclusion, and strengthening-weakening arguments. Avoid spending time on puzzles — they appear rarely.
Quantitative Techniques (10-14 questions): Basic data interpretation and arithmetic. Target 8-10 correct. Do not let this section eat into time for other sections.
Mock Test Strategy: Give 2 full mocks per week. Review every wrong answer. Track your accuracy section-wise and improve weak areas first.
